GMT offers comprehensive regular dry cargo shipping services tailored to the needs of our customers.

The Group has two active shipping lines that operate liner and tramp services:

Conti GMT Shipping Ltd. (Hong Kong) and GMT Conti Shipping N.V. (Belgium)
Since March 1999, GMT has been engaged in a 50/50 joint venture operation with Conti7, an Antwerp liner operator, serving regular and frequent departures out of the Baltic ports and Europe as well as from the Black Sea and Mediterranean ports to all major ports in the West Africa region from Mauritania to Angola range.  With a highly qualified team, the joint venture is committed to serve the trade with enthusiasm and professionalism, and the collaboration has been providing greatly reliable and flexible services ever since.


In February 2005, a formal company Conti GMT Shipping Ltd. (“CGS”) was incorporated in Hong Kong.  At the same time, GMT Conti Shipping N.V. was also officially formed in Belgium as the commercial arm of CGS. 

GMT Shipping Line Ltd.
GMT Shipping Line Ltd. is a fully owned subsidiary of the GMT Shipping & Logistics Group and is managed from our Hong Kong headquarters.


GMT Shipping Line was launched in April 2004 as a response to an increased demand from our valued clients to cater for international tramping and steel parcel shipments. To expand from its traditional services, GMT Shipping Line Ltd. has activated new trade routes and will seek to expand into other commodities other than steel, as well as being the ship operating figurehead of the Group.


Over the years under GMT Shipping Line Ltd., the Group has fulfilled shipment contracts with Brazilian mills namely Arcelor Mittal Group, Gerdau, Usiminas from Brazil to Western  India and Persian Gulf. It has also fixed with EMR, Cremer, HC Trading, Viterra and operators such as Oldendorff.
